Are you in control of AI, or is AI already running your business?

Most companies still lack an AI strategy, approved tools, and clear processes, yet their teams already use AI daily. That’s the dangerous gap: AI in practice without AI governance.


Why this matters, and why now:

What this means for leaders: Without a plan, you risk data leaks, GDPR trouble, reputational damage, and misleading customers with over-confident AI outputs. Regulators have already warned about the dangers of personal data in AI models and the need for safeguards.


The smarter path: Turn risk into results:


1) Set guardrails, policy and training

Create a simple AI use policy, define allowed and blocked tools, and train teams on data handling, such as no sensitive data in public AIs and always verifying output before customer use.


2) Approve a safe AI toolset

Offer secure, logged, enterprise-grade options so people don’t default to risky tools. Pair with access controls and monitoring.


3) Build a light AI governance loop

Use-case intake and risk check, human-in-the-loop for external content, incident path for model errors or data exposure.


4) Start with low-drama, high-return use cases

Examples include sales email drafting with human review, meeting recap, proposal skeletons tied to your pricing library. Connect to source-of-truth data and require fact checks before client delivery.


5) Label synthetic content

If you publish AI-generated visuals or audio, label it. This will be required under the EU AI Act, and it already builds customer trust today.
